here's a question. what's an 'ask page'? this is odd.
It’s just a page where you can ask me anything you want and I’m supposed to answer. More narcissism, in other words. There are some people who use this one website that’s just dedicated to asking anonymous or not anonymous questions, I think it’s called formspring.me. And I did actually get one. But I think this is much more economical because it’s connected to everything else. So. Ask away!
Picnic today. Great way to beat the hangover. :) Actually wasn’t that hungover to begin with, but it was nice. People in England really do just loosen up about 10 times when the sun comes out.
Also, we now have a clean flat. Clean home, clean… other stuff? I dunno. We think it’ll make us all happier, now we just have to work to maintain it. But that’s cool.
I’ve realized I have less time than I thought for all my papers and things. Who’s surprised? Not me. Don’t know if I have the time (or indeed the funds) to make it to Belfast before the month is out, which is a bummer, because I’d really like to get to the Linen Hall Library to help me out with my paper. So I’m thinking maybe a quick overnight, seeing as it only takes an hour and a half to get there from London… but that’s if there’s a plane ready to leave the ground in the next two weeks.
By the way, can someone explain to me why I’ve got Evanescence’s “Tourniquet” stuck in my head?
Good morning. Um. I am still working out my blogging muscles. They haven’t been stretched in a while since I kind of abandoned my live journal. But life goes on. This looks shiny. I think Tumblr is better for people who spend way too much time on the internet because it’s got enough features for the kind of ADHD stream of consciousness that the internet inspires. I do like the reblog feature, though. Like, HAHA, I will steal this pearl of awesome from you, because I wish I was awesome enough for it to be mine.
Anyway it’s not actually morning, it’s nearly one in the afternoon, but I got up at 11:30 as usual and I’m still in my pajamas. April wants to go down to all the many many gardens that we’ve got here in Cambridge, I’m inclined to agree. I need to take more pictures, gardens are a good way to go.
I want to take more joy in the little things; I think it would make me a saner person. I’m probably not trying hard enough. Sneh. Yesterday’s lesson was people can only make themselves better, today’s is LET’S GO SQUEE OVER FLOWERS. Springtime in England is a beautiful thing.
